World Autism Awarness Day

          Tuesday April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day across the globe. Here at My Canine Companion World Autism Awareness Day kicks off a week of fundraising events.

          On Tuesday 2nd we will be holding two information days at Tesco SC Monread, Naas and at Whitewater SC, Newbridge, Co Kildare. Both events kick off at 10am and finish up at 6pm. Our volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions that you might have and you can also meet our fully trained Assistance dogs and Pups in training.

          On Thursday 4th the first leg of our 300km Cork to Bray Charity cycle kicks off in Blarney, Co Cork and will head to New Ross Co Wexford. The cyclist’s will spend the night at the Brandon House Hotel before heading off again on Friday morning. The cycle will conclude in Bray, Co Wicklow at around 4pm on Friday.

          Also on Friday 5th there will be an Autism Family Funday at Red Mountain open farm, Corballs, Donore, County Meath. Admission €5 with some of the proceeds going to MCC. Assistance dogs welcome.

          On Sunday 7th Team MCC will be at the Irish Parachute Club in County Offaly for a charity sky dive and later that evening a fundraiser will be held at the Kilcock Golf Club in Co Kildare.

          All of these events will bring in much needed funds which will go directly to train Assistance dogs for children with Autism.
