Information On Companion Dogs

Further information on Companion Dogs

We can provide Companion dogs to children and young adults living with Autism. A Companion dog will provide companionship and can greatly improve the quality of life for the child or young adult and family. They provide unconditional love and affection to their partner.

A companion dog is usually a dog trained to the same standard as an Assistance dog but, who for one reason or other has failed to make the Assistance dog grade.

We have a limited number of Companion dogs available each year. If you feel that a Companion dog would be more suited to your child and family circumstances’ then contact our office today and put your name on our waiting list.

Please note that while a Companion comes fully trained to Assistance Dog standard it is important to understand that Companion dogs do not enjoy the same access rights as an Assistance dog.
